Families collect food at a Hayat distribution
Palestinians in East Jerusalem suffer from poverty, fewer working opportunities and very complicated Israeli procedures. The violence in the West Bank and Jerusalem has badly affected the economy, and thousands of people there live under the poverty line.
Hayat Humanitarian Aid works with a trusted charity to help people in different areas. In Ramadan we provided 200 food parcels, Zakat al-Fitr and £2,000 of Zakat to low-income families, and we supplied 100 packs of school stationery.
