Shaz Khurum – BCC Gaza Winter Appeal 100 Mile Challenge
Last year we did this, and this year I need to do it again for our sisters and brothers in Gaza. I’m taking on 100 miles in one day on Saturday 5 December to raise £1,000 for the Gaza Winter Appeal. Please sponsor me.

As salaam aleikum.
Last year we did this, and this year we need to do it again for our sisters and brothers in Gaza. It’s the least we can do.
On Saturday 5 December I’m taking on 100 miles in one day with my brothers from BCC. We start at first light at 7:40 am and have to finish before dark at 4:00 pm: about 10 hours with breaks, in the cold of a British December.
It will be cold and it will be hard, but it is one day. Families in Gaza face the bitter cold all winter, with very little to keep them warm and fed. Everything I raise goes to Hayat Aid’s Gaza Winter Appeal.
My target is £1,000, and every pound also counts towards our team target of £4,000.
What your donation can do
- £20 gives a family olive oil and za’atar
- £30 gives a family warm blankets against the cold
- £30 gives a family of 5 hot meals for a whole week
- £30 gives a family of 5 bread for a week
Please sponsor me, share this page with your family and friends, and keep us in your du’a.
Jazakum Allahu khairan,
Shaz
